Members Floor & Library Hours

• Monday: 11am to 8pm
• Tuesday–Sunday: 11am to 6pm

During the hours when the Library is closed, hold requests will be available for pickup every day from the designated book cart in the Bookstore (open daily from 11am to 8pm).

Note: Construction will be held on a neighboring building affecting the access to the Terrace. The small section of the Terrace furthest from the door will be closed to members as a safety precaution. This construction will also unfortunately result in periods of noise over the next few months. We will assess how this affects the noise levels of the member floor, and what steps we can take to mitigate the impact.

September 2025

• Monday, September 1st
  The Members Floor will be closed in observance of Labor Day.
• Wednesday, September 3rd
  The Members Lounge will be closed from 1pm to 3:30pm for a CFF staff gathering.
• Friday, September 5th
  The Members Lounge will close at 5pm for First Novel Friday.
  
• Thursday, September 11th
  The Sula Peace (Green) Room will be reserved from 1:30-3:30pm for the Writer Studio’s monthly afternoon tea.
• Friday, September 12th
  The Members Lounge and Terrace will close at 5pm to set up for the End-of-Summer Pizza Party. RSVP here!
• Saturday, September 13th
  Saturday Storytime from 11:30am – 1pm.
  CFF is partnering with the Library for Arts and Culture for their Saturday Storytime series on The Plaza at 300 Ashland Place. In the event of inclement weather, attendees will relocate to the children’s section of The Center’s Bookstore. Café and Bookstore patrons are welcome to remain in the space, but please note that it will be shared with Storytime attendees.
• Wednesday, September 17th
  The Literarians Zoom Discussion at 12:30pm.
  This month, we are reading The Paris Express by Emma Donoghue. RSVP here!
• Thursday, September 18th
  The Members Floor will close at 4pm for The Day of Translation keynote.
• Wednesday, September 24th
  The Sula Peace (Green) Room will close at 4pm for a CFF meeting.
• Thursday, September 25th
  The Sula Peace (Green) Room will close at 5:15pm to set up for the Emerging Writer Fellows Dinner.

October 2025

• Friday, October 3rd
  The Members Lounge will close at 5pm for First Novel Friday.
• Monday, October 6th
  The Nightlighters, our in-person reading group, will meet in the Sula Peace (Green) Room at 6pm. 
  This month, we are reading Private Rites by Julia Armfield. RSVP here!
• Thursday, October 9th
  The Sula Peace (Green) Room will be reserved from 1:30-3:30pm for the Writer Studio’s monthly afternoon tea.
• Saturday, October 11th
  The Members Floor and Auditorium will be closed all day for a private event. Additionally,CFF is partnering with the Library for Arts and Culture for their Saturday Storytime series from 11:30am – 1pm.
