The Center for Fiction Presents You’ll See..., a Stage Reimagining of James Joyce’s Ulysses

Thursday, 7:00 pm EDT - 8:15 pm EDT November 13, 2025

The Center for Fiction

James Joyce’s epic tale, Ulysses, finds new form in You’ll See…, a captivating adaptation from Galway-based theater company Branar. Roam the streets of Dublin with the novel’s iconic characters, Leopold Bloom and Stephen Dedalus—singing, gesturing, and pulling faces as their story unfolds in a way you’ve never heard it told before.

This charming one-person show, starring Helen Gregg, is replete with elegant pop-up illustrations, puppetry, and an original score. Whether you’re a lifelong Joycean or new to Joyce’s world, You’ll See… offers a warm, witty entry point into the novel’s timeless journey—especially for those who’ve never managed to finish Ulysses, or never dared to start.

Directed with precision by Marc Mac Lochlainn, the performance moves briskly through the story’s many twists and turns. Fret not, though far briefer than Joyce’s 800-page masterpiece, Branar’s version still blooms!

Join us at The Center for Fiction as we embark on the odyssey together.
