Darkness and Delirium

What we can’t see can’t hurt us.
But she sees everything, and what she sees…
Could kill us all.

Let’s play that game, Two Truths and a Lie. Ready?

My name is Rachel Devin. When I was nineteen years old, I bludgeoned a woman to death. I also see demons.

The psychiatrists here tell me the demons I’ve seen aren’t real … that they’re the lie. Just another delusion of a paranoid schizophrenic. I used to believe that, too. Except now, I’m not so sure.

I met these two guys, Zavier and Sydney. They say they’re hunters. That they kill demons and everything else that goes bump in the night. They tell me that I’m not crazy at all, but gifted. That I can see the true face of everything dark that lurks in the shadows. They want to use me to find them, even though it will be dangerous.

So, what is the truth? Am I delusional? Is my sight a gift or a curse?

Am I hunting the darkness or is the darkness hunting me?
